LAKE TOYA G8 SUMMIT

With less than two months until the G8 Toya summit, there is a buzz of excitement as Hokkaido prepares itself for the world stage. Hokkaido is being focussed throughout Japan and internationally as Japan's Nature Wonderland. With the main theme of the summit being the environment and climate control what better place than the jewel that is Hokkaido. The venue for the summit, the Windsor Hotel Toya, overlooks the spectacular Toya Lake and sits 616m above sea level. Lake Toya is just 45 minutes drive from Niseko.

WEBSITE UPDATES AND BOOKING TIPS

With almost all the snow melting off the mountain now in Hirafu our thoughts are firmly on the new Japanese winter of 08-09. Alpen Ridge is flying along and growing day by day getting ready for the new NBS ski school, rental and retail outlet. In the meantime you can go to www.nisekobase.com over the next few weeks as we update all of our product prices and services ready for the new season approaching. Our IT department is hard at work to make it easier for you to get the information you require to choose the correct lesson or rental equipment for you and then to book it all directly online.

One way you can make it faster and easier for yourself when booking rentals online with NBS is to send through details such as:

  • Exact dates of rental
  • Names of all the rental guests
  • Type of equipment
  • Age
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Ability (see ability chart on our bookings page)

You can then arrive and we will have the equipment ready to go. Remember it's never too early to get fit for the coming 08-09 winter season!
