 | Base in the place We're in for a bit of a change with the weather as snowfall reaches the hills on Friday accompanied by high winds. This looks set to be the trend until later next week when winds are expected to reduce and blow from the north, bringing colder conditions. It looks like the winds will drop a bit on Sunday and this is the day to aim for if you're planning on skiing or boarding this weekend. However conditions look set to improve as we move into next week. With the forecast so uncertain we advise checking the conditions or subscribing to our RSS conditions feeds at www.ski-scotland.com before travelling. The base on the mid and upper runs at Glencoe, Nevis Range and CairnGorm Mountain remains deep and it's possible to ski to the top of the Access Chair at Glencoe, Snowgoose Chair at Nevis Range and above mid mountain at CairnGorm Mountain. Also at CairnGorm, the Ptarmigan Bowl is in good condition and it's possible to ski Coire Cas all the way down the Gun Barrel. This Saturday the Snowsports Scotland Highlander Freestyle event has been relocated from The Lecht to CairnGorm Mountain - weather permitting. If you get out this weekend, enjoy! Ski-Scotland
