Last year's snowfall of 418 inches, a season surpassing the long-standing 1979-1980 record, has left Crested Butte Mountain Resort feeling optimistic about next winter. In celebration of last winter's phenomenal season of snow, CBMR is holding last year's early season prices for its Platinum, Gold and Bronze pass products until August 1. It is reducing prices on child and young adult passes, and formulating better family purchase plans to increase family affordability. And as a special thank you, it is creating an upgrade program that translates into free ski days.

To truly capitalize on these special savings, you must purchase your pass option during the first discount price period from June 18th through August 1st. New Air Service for Winter 2008-2009 Salt Lake City, Chicago and Atlanta Added Getting to Crested Butte next winter just got a whole lot easier. Next ski season will see the addition of air service to Gunnison / Crested Butte Regional Airport via three new cities (Salt Lake City, Chicago and Atlanta) and an additional carrier (Delta Air Lines). GUC is now served via direct service from 5 major cities on 3 major carriers with connections world-wide.


Summer Has Arrived Red Lady and SilverQueen Lifts are Now Open for the Summer
With all this talk about next winter, it's easy to forget that the snow has melted and the sun is shining in Crested Butte. The lifts began to spin yesterday for the summer season and will serve as host to hundreds of world-class mountain bikers in this weekend's Wildflower Rush Mountain Bike Race.
Chairlift rides on Crested Butte Mountain Resort are available to summer hikers and bikers. The Silver Queen lift transports hikers to just below the summit at 11,400 feet. From there, sightseers can climb to the 12,162-foot Mt. Crested Butte peak, stop for a picnic or simply take in the spectacular views of the Elk Mountain Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
The Red Lady Express lift transports hikers and mountain bikers. From rolling single-track to more advanced technical terrain, Crested Butte Mountain offers miles of summer trails to entice bikers of all abilities and ages.
